Wilton Trim N Turn Cake Turntable

Works as stated - turns smoothly in both directions and is attractive enough to cut and serve a cake from. Giving it three stars "OK" only because of two drawbacks. Biggest drawback was there is only about a quarter of an inch space between the top of the turntable and where it rests on the surface of your table (This includes the turning mechanism in the center). Barely enough room to get your fingers underneath in order to lift and carry. Second drawback is that it's a little flimsy. Used it to decorate a four layer red velvet cake and turntable bent slightly when lifted it to carry the cake. No fear of it breaking but it doesn't seem intended to hold heavy cakes. Otherwise, it's functional and I'm able to decorate cakes using it. Excellent as a "lazy susan" for other treats. Overall, compared to the prices of the more expensive turntables, I am pleased with this one.

Good quality, no problems. Is good for begginers or for people that don't bake to many cakes. If you decorate a lot of cakes and have the xtra $$$ definitely get a taller table, it would help your back.

I am new to cake decorating and need a simple turntable for practice. This one not only fits the bill but also looks nice. It's light weight plastic and the low profile is great for storage (just use common sense and don't stack heavy items on it). The turning motion is pretty smooth and the fluted edge means I can also serve the cake on it. It doesn't lock in one place but I don't mind that. Great buy!
