The best pan I know for beautiful layer cakes.,

When I got married 35 years ago, I received 9 inch layer cake pans as a wedding gift. Over the years, I suffered countless failures as the layers stuck to the pan, tore chunks of cake away from the pans, etc.
When my daughter married, I invested in 10" Wilton pans, and shortly thereafter replaced every cake pan in my kitchen with Wiltons. Yes, you do need to let your fresh from the oven layers sit for ten minutes before turning them out, but as long as you do that, your cakes will be flawless every time. Wilton pans have become my favorite wedding gifts to give.

I love these pans! The finish is great--I use Wilton's Pan Release and the matte finish helps the grease stick to the pan when I brush it in. I prefer the light pans because then the cake doesn't get too dark. I would highly recommend these pans!

Straight sides, which is important when making a layer cake. Because of the straight sides, they don't "nest" one inside the other, but since I have two of every size, I split up the pairs and nest one of each size together.
Nice weight. I've had no problems with sticking, but I always use parchment rounds on the bottom. Perfect browning; not too dark or light. Despite heavy use they still look new.
