Perfect for making elegant looking puddings, aspics, and frozen desserts, and for baking your favorite cakes. This mold is also ideal for making Cannele, a soft crepe like cake with a firm caramelized crust. This pudding mold has fluted sides that flare slightly and a center tube. The bottom has a scalloped design and the lid clamps on securely. The lid is well designed and overhangs the base so that condensation that accumulates on its edge will fall back down, instead of seeping into the batter. 5 cup capacity and 6 inches in diameter. Tinplate steel. Made in Portugal.

If you want to make steamed pudding with an old recipe, one can never find the correct mold. I found two in Amazon and got them both. This one is smaller in size and so cute in form.
