SCI Scandicrafts Straight Fish Mold 13.25-inch 4.5-Cup

I bought this mold because I wanted to make a Swedish salmon mousse for a Glogg party I am having on St. Lucia's Day. I have to admit that I did not expect the mold to be so voluminous--it was gigantic. The shape is rather odd for a cake design as many of the dessert molds I've seen are either Bundt-shaped, fruit-shaped, or whimsically-designed (e.g. a star, etc.) The width and length are given in the item description, but I still have to admit that I was overwhelmed at the sheer size. I doubt I will use this too often as I am not a woman and hardly bake at all. The item was delivered very promptly, but I think a better description could have been written. This is a CAKE mold, and the cakes you make with it will be whale-ish!
