The pan bakes food well. I purchased it to cook everything but cakes, but I have baked bread in this pan and it browned nicely on the bottom...without over browning or burned edges. Make sure to check the dimensions on this pan before ordering. It is more shallow than I realized and I have to say I do prefer Baker's Secret,

This is a great cake pan! I bought it for a fudge recipe, but it would be perfect for brownies too. The size was not available in any of the local stores I tried.
