This review is from: Parrish Magic Line 12 x 2 Inch Round Aluminum Cake Pan (Kitchen) I bought this pan to bake my 10 year old a birthday cake. I didn't realize how big this pan really was, until I went to pour the batter. It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 standard boxes of cake mix to fill this pan. I made a double layer cake and it was more than enough for the number of guests I had. I would say a cake made with this size pan can easily serve about 30 people maybe more. The pan is nice and sturdy, heats up evenly and super easy to clean. I had read other reviews complaining about the ease of clean up. But you really shouldn't have a problem if you follow the basic rule, of lightly greasing your cake pans with vegetable shortening and adding a light coat of flour before you pour the batter. The cake shouldn't stick at all and should slide right out of the pan. I even let one of the layers cool right in the pan and didn't have a problem getting the cake out. This review is from: Parrish Magic Line 12 x 3.5 Inch Round Aluminum Cake Pan (Kitchen) I LOVE THIS PAN !! It fits into my Micro/Convection oven just right.I didn't have a large deep pan for Lasagna or Stuffed Shells so I tried the pan. It is great for what I use it for...for me. Cleans up easily although it is not a teflon or easy clean. I have not tried a cake in it nor do I wish to but it was a great purchase as far as I am concerned, plus it just fits in the Convection oven so I don't have to use the regular big oven. Cheers !! I was very happy with the results. I put a clean flower nail in the middle right before I put it in the oven and baked at 325 degrees. Cake came out perfect and did not need to level it. So glad I bought this pan! |
