Nordic Ware Pro-Cast Locomotive Pan

I used this pan at Christmas to make gingerbread trains for my friends. I found that baker's joy helped make it slip out of the pan with no problem. Great detail although some of the smaller parts on the top and the front of the train didn't fill all the way.

Heavily weighted and baked evenly. It's PERFECT and well made. I enjoyed using it to make a train cake for my son's third birthday but know that we'll be getting more uses out of it! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.

This cake pan is nice because it's really detailed....but that is the downfall. It's so hard to get the cake out. I think if you use a little more batter than comes in the standard box cake....and use the "right" grease, it may not be an issue. It does rise quite a bit but it never fully fills the little details at the top.
I love how heavy it is, and it does cook evenly.
But I get so frustrated because I just can never get it all out right. Frosting does wonders....but then you loose the neat detail. A previous poster said they used bakers joy. I would give that a try....but I am about ready to rid myself of this pan anyway. It was fun while it lasted, and my boys will never remember that it could have "looked" better anyway;-)
