What is the primary difference between this pan and a basic mini-bundt pan? The picture doesn't do the pan justice. Some of the pumpkins are a little narrower and taller and some are a bit squatty. There are leaves and tendrils embossed on the pumpkins -- all differences from the standard mini-bundt pan.

You get what you pay for, and the quality of this pans is worth the money, and properly cared for, it will last a lifetime. For perfect unmolding every time -- although the pan is non-stick, it needs to be properly prepared -- and that is most easily accomplished by using either Wilton's cake release or a cooking spray designed for baking (one that contains flour.)

To ensure a perfect unmolding, let the cake cool upright for ten minutes after removing it from the oven before inverting it. The Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Pumpkin Patch Pan is on par with all the items in their platinum line. This is a heavy duty pan that will keep on delighting hard core bakers and new cooks alike. The baking results are uniform and the release excellent. Hand cleaning is recommended, but the nonstick surface makes this no problem. I am a convert to this line of decorative bake ware, and have begun to collect it. In short, this is good stuff.

This is a beautiful, detailed mini bundt pan. Ordinary cake or muffins will become delightful eye candy that will impress your family and friends. The 12 little pumpkin shapes have subtle differences - some tall and slender, some short and fat, and some with leaves and tendrils. They are adorable as is or can be decorated with icing for a more elegant presentation. The Nordic Ware Platinum Collection pans are top quality - durable enough to become family heirlooms with a non-stick coating that actually works. As with any baking pan, to get best results spray with a non-stick baker's spray containing flour, like Baker's Joy. Do NOT use the regular Pam type sprays for baking or your results will be disappointing! With proper care this pan will be handed down to your grandchildren and perhaps great-grandchildren.
