I like the pan; it bakes a good cake with good release. You can't really see the design that is supposed to be on the cake, which is the main reason I bought it. The cake basically looks bumpy. I don't think I will be buying any other specialty pans.
I love many Nordic Ware pans, but this is not my favorite,

I own several Nordic Ware pans, but the details are just too subtle on this one. The leaves are not clear, even when dusted with some sugar. The reason I get detailed pans is that I am a bit too lazy for detailed icing, but that might do the trick to highlight the leaves and acorns. I have made it with Duncan Hines yellow cake as well as the gingerbread cake mix from Nordic Ware, and a pound cake mix--the details were about the same with all of them.

What a beautiful, decorative design. The pan is heavy enough that it distributes heat very evenly and provides a beautiful golden surface. I live in an oak forest so the oak and acorn design is fitting and beautiful any time of year.
