Product Review

Great activity for kids making magical holiday cookies with our whimsical 3-D stand-up cookie cutters. Six fun holiday shapes include a reindeer, christmas tree, angel, star, snowman and bells. The set comes with a cardboard storage box and recipe for sugar cookies and icing. Proudly made in the USA by Nordic Ware.

Amazon.com Review

Blustery December days are made for cozy baking projects at home, and the kids will love NordicWare's 3-D Winter Series cookie cutter set to bake, decorate, and design their own seasonal diorama. With twelve pieces total, the set makes six standup shapes including a star, snowman, tree, bells, angel, and reindeer. The red plastic tools are child- and food-friendly, so everyone can participate. Each cutter measures between 4 and 5 inches, and the cardboard storage box includes a cookie and icing recipe. When the work is done and stomachs start to growl, all that's left to do is pour steaming cups of cocoa and dive in! --Kara Karll

5.0 out of 5 stars A little tricky to use, but a great set of cookie cutters, January 5, 2008

If you like the looks of the cookies in the picture (and I do) you'll love these cutters. Three things will make them easy to work with:

1. If you're having the same problem that the first reviewer did, lightly dip the cutters in flour before each cut. (Particularly with the little pieces.)

2. Chill the dough for 30 minutes before rolling and cutting, or it will spread as the cookies bake and you'll have to cut away at the notches to make the cookies fit together.

3. If you want very thin cookies (maybe not a good idea for stability) you may need to roll the dough on the cookie sheet.

These are solid cookie cutters made of plastic; that means that you cannot use your fingers to remove the cut dough. We bake a great deal but these were extremely difficult to use and a great disappointment.

I used the dough recipe on the box, and half of the cookies swelled so much that the slots were too small for the cookies to go together.
