Amazon.com Review
One look at this rubbery bakeware and those uninformed about silicone will laugh at the possibility that it’s actually safe to bake in it. But safe it is and KitchenAid is just one of many bakeware manufacturers that is producing pans in this revolutionary material. Made of FDA-approved food-grade silicone, this 9-by-9-inch square cake pan bakes your prize-winning fudge brownies just as evenly as your metal pans and at temperatures up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, this silicone pan has the benefit of being safe for the refrigerator, freezer, and microwave and can withstand sudden temperature changes from one extreme to another without buckling. The nonstick surface releases brownies easily and is safe for use with metal utensils aside from knives or serrated blades. Oversized rims make the pan easy to lift and transfer to and from from the oven. The only noticeable difference with silicone is that the pans feel a little wobbly as you carry them filled with batter from tabletop to oven and vice versa. Placing this cake pan on a baking sheet will offer better stability for transferring baked goods and provide a level cooking surface in the oven. For easy cleanup, this pan is dishwasher-safe and will retain its nonstick cooking surface through hundreds of dishwasher cycles. KitchenAid provides a one-year hassle-free replacement warranty plus a lifetime limited warranty on this pan. --Cristina Vaamonde

Bakeware for the Future, April 1, 2004

This is absolutely amazing. You must try these in order to understand! No scrubbing, turns loose with the flip of the pan and bakes absolutely beautiful. I love these things! Get one in every shape and design. Watch out for the non Kitchenaid pans though. Many of the others say they are only oven safe up to 428 degree's. Kitchenaid is safe for up to 500 degree's.

This is my wonderful kitchen find of 2005 - I purchased several pieces, including this one and potholders from KitchenAid.
Imagine pans that will never rust, get scratched or bent. They cook evenly, clean up beautifully. A particular favorite are the potholders which are also great jar openers, trivets and impromptu food covers for small microwave containers.
I have baked brownies, chickens, casseroles and vegetables in this thing. All came out perfectly.
Don't think they would be broiler friendly - I still use Pyrex for that!

Kitcheaid Silicone Bakeware, April 1, 2004

I did not have any problem with this silicone bakeware. It was wonderful. I followed the directions, sprayed lightly, baked, everything was absolutely perfect, and came out of the silicone bakeware like a dream (they advise that you let the food cool completely before trying to remove). Perhaps the people who had a problem getting their food out of the bakeware should review their recipes. Everything I cooked in each of my Kitchenaid silicone wares was fantastic and there was no silicone/plastic smell.
