I bought these pans to use as molds for candy making. I wanted something with sides to contain the poured candy until it is ready to remove from the mold (very easy with the silicone, even without oiling or buttering it). I make candies in quantity at holiday time and these molds help me get consistent thickness from batch to batch.

I bought them with the idea of making pan lubing easier, it wasn't. The pans are too flexible, for cakes I'm sure they would work great but for lubing not so much.
