Product Review

Special occasions call for special tools. Whether you're putting the finishing touches on a carrot cake or a child's birthday treat, this icing spatula helps you sculpt festive confections like a pro. The flexible 4-inch blade is delicate enough to get in the smallest crevices, and it's offset near the handle to let you slip under layers to lift with confidence. Likewise, the curved edges won't tear into even the most fragile of cakes. --Mary Park

I bought this icing spatula to match up with some of my current Kitchenaid cook gadgets. I thought this particular item would possess the most common feature (heavienss) like the other gadgets, but it doesn't. It bends too easily when you apply pressure. The gadget is really light unlike the others type of Kitchenaid's gadgets. I think I over-paid for this spatula. Oh, by the way, other typical spatulas are probabaly better at applying icing than this one.

If you decide to buy this spatula, you've made the right choice. The angled blade allows you to slip easily between cake layers and apply your icing right where it's really needed. Our Christmas cake wouldn't have looked half as nice without this wonder from KitchenAid. It works well with chocolate, too!
