I bought 3 of the cake pans. I just used them this past Saturday. The cake came out perfect didn't stick. I'm happy with this purchase and the price was resonable. Makes a happy cook when you have the right tools. I believe what you can do to make things easier in life is worth it.

I just baked two cakes, one in this pan and one in another (why did I only buy one?). The one baked in this pan was actually perfect, the other got much darker and firmer. Both were cooked at the same temperature and for the same amount of time.
The shiny steel is easy to clean and I didn't have any problem with it being marred when I ran the knife around the edge to loosen the cake for removal. I expect it to last longer than the aluminum one it replaced, which had a tiny hole in the middle from wear.
I'm buying a second pan today.
