Heavy Duty Aluminum Lamb Cake Mold. Cute as a button Lamb, comes out of pan easily when well greased.
Thought the Price was a bit high for the size, but very satisfied overall with the Quality of the Product.
Perfect for your Easter Treat or anytime you want a unique little Lamb. Christmas, Easter...Spring Go for it.

This mold has really met my expectations. I was looking for a lamb mold similar to the cast aluminum lamb mold that has been in my family for 60+ years. This mold compares very favorably with my old mold, except that the little piece that sticks out from both sides of the top of the mold should have a hole in it to thread string through to tie the mold for baking - that's why only 4 stars. A friend is going to try to drill a hole for me enabling me to properly tie the mold. I haven't baked a cake in it yet as it is a gift for my daughter who has had a lamb cake for her birthday in April for 38 years. I'm so pleased I could find a mold to give her for her own. I found one on eBay that was actually old that I gave as a new-baby gift to a friend, but I think this one may be even better (once I get the holes drilled!). I see no reason why it shouldn't bake well - I may try it before giving it away so I can add to this review. I would advise anyone purchasing this mold to research...Read more

The mold was exactly as I'd expected - the right size and right shape. I used kitchen string to tie the mold together for my first cake and the knot slipped so I had some batter escape. I need to figure out a better way of tieing the halves together. I greased the whole mold heavily with Crisco but the cake still stuck, especially the face. I expect my second attempt will be more successful now that the mold has been used.
