Tried to raise my son pescatarian like me so of course he also turned out to be a chicken fanatic.

Got this cake pan for his birthday cake. AWESOME!!

The cake recipe that's included makes a very dense cake, so it is good with something like a strawberry sauce.

Obviously it's a little pricey, but it's great to have around the house if you occasionally have people over for dinner. It makes a small cake (it's a lot smaller than you expect it to be) so it is appropriate for 6 or 8 small slices, with some sauce. I prefer this, actually, because we try to eat healthy so I don't like having leftovers tempting us all week. Also, you don't have to frost it so it's actually really quick to make the cake and everyone's like, "Ooooooo...fancy..."

My guests enjoyed biting the chicken's head off like Ozzy Osborne. (I'm not sure I'll be inviting those particular guests back.)

My friend is a chicken fanatic, so we got her the chicken cake mold. But before giving it to her, we used it to make her cake. It was cute. However, it was hard to clean with all the nooks, etc. Also, the cake didn't rise up completely, so the chicken cake only had one wing.

The pan itself, seemed to be of good quality and it was easy to use. I'm sure after some playing with recipes, my friend will find the perfect match to make her chicken cakes!
