I was intrigued when I saw an aluminum cooling rack that was deemed "sturdy". Well, sturdy it is. Aluminum, it is not. Though I didn't call Kaiser, I did try putting a magnet to it and, lo and behold, the magnet attracted it. Can't do that with aluminum. Also, the spacing between the wires is too wide for fresh-from-the-oven cookies. Need to try finding a better rack.

I received the cooling racks only to find that they are constructed of heavy gauge steel with chrome plating, rather than being aluminum as described (I even called Kaiser to confirm). Their appearance and weight are nearly identical to the racks in our oven. These may not be suitable for someone looking for general-purpose baking racks for home use.
Sturdy,

I bought this for a multipurpose cooling rack. It is extremely sturdy and looks like it will last a lifetime. if you want a very beefy cooling rack for many uses...this is the one.
