Might not be for the long haul!,

I bought this cake pan for my daughter's birthday cake. The cake baked evenly and came out smoothly, but instructions included say the pan will break down eventually. It's not made of metal or silicone, but I thought a product I bought to make cakes with should be able to make cakes until I don't need it anymore! So far, I have seen no sign of wear on it, and I used it 4 times in one night (BIG party).
I did not follow the instructions on how to make the horse's body (I believe it was something about candy???) but it still came out wonderfully being decorated with different frostings and tips. Would make a wonderful cake for that horse lover in all of us!

I then spent a lot of time in the internet to find out the best way to cover such a cake, and ended putting apricot jelly on top, followed with chocolate butter glaze, to keep it moist, and then I did a marshmallow fondant, which I put inside the horse pan and in the freezer for 15 minutes. It came out very well, although it was all white. I am not a professional baker and did not prepare fondants of many colours, but I ended melting chocolate and using a brush to paint the hooves and spots (pinto style), and using a small brush and food colouring to cover the background in green...Read more
