I made 2 cakes for a confirmation lunch (dove symbol of Holy Spirit) and they came out great. Don't forget to grease & flour the pan (cocoa powder instead of flour for chocolate cakes) The recipe for chocolate cake came in metric measurements, no need to worry, conversion tables are found on the internet. I used a recipe for my Mother-in-law's anise cake as well. The cake recipes I used were heavy like a pound cake. Haven't tried a box recipe yet. Will let you know when I do.
