I wanted one pan that I can pour all my batter into instead of using two pans, with the 3" height this one is it! I just grease and flour the pan pour all my batter into it and bake. After the cake is done all I do is slice it in the middle cover it with frosting and decorate. By using only one pan the cake is bake evenly if you use two pans one may be higher than the other one and plue one pan is less clean up. I love the anodized aluminum which will last for several years. Well for me this works!
