I am becoming quite the customer of this brand and when I saw they had springform pans, I whipped out the credit card and was ready to buy. Once again, Fat Daddios has not let me down. This pan is not only beautiful in looks but more importantly bakes well. Also, I am LOVING the selection of sizes. The 12" pan is huge but WOW what a cheesecake it makes! I have tried both a pineapple upside down cake and my peanut butter chocolate cheesecake and have had spectacular results on both. Perhaps the most consistent compliment I can give for this pan and really all of the FD pans I own is the cleanup. I know these pans are not non stick but I am amazed at how I can simply wipe them clean and rarely have sticking issues. I find the rise on the cakes to be perfect and love how my cakes simply pull away from the pan. No leaking issue with me. Sounds like the other reviewer might have had a different opinion. I really enjoy this springform pan. Having the wider base makes it easier to getting in and out of the oven. I highly recommend this pan. I had no problem of the pan leaking. Have it 3" deep is also a plus!

I'm a home baker and make cheesecakes, etc. The only problem is the design of the bottom piece. The side fits to the bottom rather than the bottom fitting to the side. There is more chance of batter leakage because the side doesn't fit as snugly as the other design. Also, trying to transfer the cheesecake to a platter is harder because the bottom is not level with the surface, it's a pedestal shape. So you have to either leave the cheesecake on the bottom piece or very carefully somehow slip it off. I have used parchment paper on the bottom of the pan to make the task easier but it's still a challenge. I wouldn't purchase this design again.
