It performs adequately but not as well as I'd want it. My main gripe is that it rusts. It's rusting underneath the rolled top - at the seam. Minor cuts to the surface have produced some rust too. There are light-colored 'stains' on the inside sides near the bottom. They appeared after the last time I baked a cake in it. I've worked at removing the stains but they're not budging. The rust plus the stains are deal-breakers for me and am now looking for a very good replacement. I must say I did like the way the lid fit and it did bake adequately. This review is from: Farberware 9 X 13 Cake Pan with Lid (Kitchen) This is a fabulous nonstick baking pan that works exactly as promised. So far I've only used it for cakes, but nothing sticks to the bottom or sides so you don't have to "prepare the pan" with grease and flour. The plastic lid is just as fabulous. It rises a couple of inches taller than the pan itself, seals tightly, and is very easy to remove if you lift it off along one of the long sides. I want to order more Farberware nonstick pieces in other sizes. This review is from: Farberware 9 X 13 Cake Pan with Lid (Kitchen) I didn't buy this pan from Amazon but I'm here to buy another. Excellent covered cake pan. I've been using this pan & cover set for around 2 years and it has always performed great - nice heavy construction, beautiful coating, cooks evenly, easy clean. Mine has never rusted. Eveybody in our home that uses it loves it.
I gave it 4 (like 4.5) stars because the lid/cover could be a little easier to unsnap. |
