Amazon.com Review
This professional-grade springform pan features a durable, nonstick coating that requires no greasing; the cake easily slides off and washing is a breeze. Ideal for cheesecakes, the pan can also be used for layer cakes and tortes. The instructions recommend setting the oven temperature 25 degrees lower than specified for most recipes, and checking the cake 10 minutes earlier than usual. However, experimentation suggests that following the original recipe produces better results. While the pan is dishwasher-safe, as with any nonstick coating, hand washing will give the pan a longer life. Also, it's best not to cut the cake in the pan; use only wood, nylon, rubber, or plastic tools to avoid scratching the surface. --Larisa Lomacky Moore

Thursday's Pan, May 1, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick 9-Inch Springform Pan (Kitchen)
I've been using this baking pan every Thursday evening for my "weekend cakes". I find it very easy and convenient. Whether I'm making my delicious cheesecake or my no-fail chocolate/apple/nut torte, the cakes always come out perfect in this pan. I wait til the cake cools off and then ever so easily it springs open leaving the cake perfectly smooth around the sides. Aside from the baking factor, it washes very easily and always looks like new when I take it out of my cupboard for its next use!

Fine for some things, but leaks, March 18, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick 9-Inch Springform Pan (Kitchen)
My springform works just fine, but if you put anyting even remotely liquid in it, it leaks. Not good. It's fine for doughy items like a German-style Kuchen or Torte where the crust keeps any liquid from spilling out, but it's inadequate for a Spanish tortilla, etc., or anything else that has a very liquid consistency.

Made a German Apple Kuchen in my pan that I have not had since my mom made them when I was a kid. Pan was easy to use, cleaned up nicely and the cake was fabulous!
