With this alphabet cake pan, you can make a formed cake for any letter of the alphabet, any number, or design you can imagine. Aluminum pan and inserts are dishwasher safe. Pan is 14" x 8 1/8", without the top handles, x 2" and has 28 indentations on the bottom to house the 12 inserts which are 2" x 2" x 2". Comes with an instruction booklet that covers everything from use and care to diagrams for letter, number, and caricature suggestions. The set comes shrink wrapped within a box and has UPC code. Housewares. Bakeware.

Summary: The versatile alphabet pan 2009-03-13
Comment: This is an incredibly versatile pan that is only limited by your imagination! I have been doing all kinds of cakes for about 30+ years, including wedding cakes, and while I found this pan to be rather expensive, I also realized that I could do just about ANYTHING with it! I would suggest that if you plan on spelling out someone's name, or a long word, that you get two pans; that way, you can be baking one and getting another cake ready to go into the oven at the same time. It is costly at the beginning, but the amount of time that you save in the long run will be worth it. The only thing that I wish it had were some blocks that were triangles that could be substituted for the entire square. Otherwise, it is great, and I am very pleased that I got two of them!
